A New Terrain Park at Crystal

web designer - Monday, January 25, 2010
Skiers and riders at Crystal Mountain who enjoy riding in terrain parks have had plenty to smile about the past few years. Tuck's Terrain Park and the Giggles park have offered a multitude of rails, boxes, jumps, spines and other terrain features for the more adveturous among us to have fun on.

This January, Terrain Park Manager Will Johnston and his staff added a third park to the slopes at Crystal with the addition of the Basin Street Terrain Park. Designed to have "more of a skate park feel," the new park offers free-riders several options for top-to-bottom runs through the park. On the left, a C-box is placed into the bank along the trees. on the right, a flat-box hugs the pines under the Crystal Clipper. In the middle, as spine with coping allows plenty of creative approaches. At the bottom of the park, a quarter pipe awaits one last air. Here are a few photos from a recent day on Basin Street. See you out there! - Nick
