Pulled Bacon Crunch and nine other ways to make the most of the holidays at Crystal Mountain

It is the most wonderful time of the year. It’s not just the four to five feet of base either – although that’s really, really nice. There is holiday magic to be found in every corner of this 1,500-acre winter playground. Here’s a list of Top Ten things to check out over the next two weeks:

1. Santa NASTAR (Christmas Eve)
Are you lively and quick enough to beat Saint Nick down the NASTAR course on Cheers? Test your skills against the jolly old elf beginning at 1pm on Christmas Eve. Register at the Snowsports Desk.

2. Walk to the Edge
The Edge Adventure Course has a fifth element to challenge you this time of year: Old Man Winter. Call 888.968.7686, ext. 7000 to reserve your spot beginning December 27 or stop by the Park at Water’s Edge.

3. Come on and take FREE ride!
You wouldn’t buy a car without taking a test drive. Same with skis and snowboards. Atomic, Blizzard, Head, Nordica, Rossignol, Salomon and Volkl will be here for a FREE Demo Day on Monday, December 29. You can also find Elan on December 28 as well as Dynastar and Salomon on December 30.

4. Tag! You're It!
Two stories below the Edge Adventure Course, the pool is empty and transformed into a laser tag arena! The games begin at 8pm on December 25-27, 29-30 and January 1-3. Call 888.968.7686, ext. 7000 to sign up.

5. Mimosa Champagne Scrub
Yes. It’s as good as it sounds. Go ahead; take some time to decompress at Crystal Spa after a busy holiday season. You’ve earned it. Make your reservation at 888.968.7686, ext. 7200.

6. The Holiday Vibe
The Outer Vibe rocks the Vista Lounge, December 27-28 with The Pool Boys taking the stage on December 29.

7. Pulled Bacon Crunch
Did we have you at bacon? If you’re looking for a worthy last indulgence before ratcheting down your New Year’s Resolution, this selection at the Thistle Pub & Grille is a good choice. Of course, you might want to look at the rest of the new winter menu just to be sure.

8. The Accidentals
Don’t miss the opportunity to say, I saw them when. This talented duo returns to Crystal Mountain to play the Vista, December 30-31.

9. The Art of Snow
Stop by the Park at Water’s Edge for supplies to create your own snowflake. The snowiest four will receive a prize on January 4 – you do not need to be present to win.

10. What are you doing New Year’s?
Fireworks, a torchlight parade and a different party for everyone young and old. Hope we’ll see you on the Mountain as we welcome in 2015!
