Let the good times roll at Crystal Mountain this Mardi Gras Weekend! We've got fun for everyone, with the costume contest, live DJ spinning tunes, the Mardi Gras Rail Jam, and of course beads, beads, and more beads!
Online registration is available for the Mardi Gras Rail Jam. Slopeside registration available for all other events.

Make your own Mardi Gras mask with the Snow Monsters! Held in the Crystal Center.
Saturday, March 4
Beads, Beads & More Beads
Keep your eye out, beads are everywhere! Collect all you can with games throughout the day, costume contest and scavenger hunt on the mountain. Houseguests receive their first set of beads upon check-in. Additional beads available for purchase at the Mardi Gras Tent, while supplies last.
Laissez les bon temps rouler! Aka “let the good times roll!” Complete one yoga class and get a strand of beads to celebrate Mardi Gras!
8am - Sunrise Yoga
As the sun rises over the mountain awaken your body with this building to exhilarating practice of yoga. Located at the Peak Fitness Center.
9am - Body Fit
Located at the Peak Fitness Center
• On-hill bead search
• Find and ski with the Mardi Gras Jester
10am - Family Yoga
Family bonding on a mat! This fun 30 minute class targets the learning the building blocks of yoga. Kids 7 years and up welcome with an adult. Located at the Peak Fitness Center.
11am - It's All Downhiller Alpine Race
$6 per person for two runs on each course. Register at our Snowsports Desk Friday March 3 or Saturday morning March 4. For more info, call our Snowsports Desk at 888.968.7686 ext. 2000.
• The Big Easy Family Race - One child and one adult race as a team on our “Big Easy” Cheers race course. Two runs for each team. Teams scored with the NASTAR Team scoring points. Prizes for top Team scores.
- Teams with Child 12 and under
- Teams with Child 13 to 18.
- Teams with Child 19 or older.
• The Cajun Downhiller - A hot and spicy race down Gorge and Cheers race course. Challenge yourself on the “New Orleans turn” down Gorge and onto the “Jazzy Street Turns” of Cheers. Two runs with your best handicap run counting for prizes.
11:30am - Aromatherapy Yoga
Breathe easy as the room is diffused with essential oils to assist your body in a deep relaxation through the poses. Located at the Peak Fitness Center.
Noon - 3pm: New Belgium Ski Scavenger Hunt
Join us for a fun-filled day of riding and riddles! Find the New Belgium Crew at the base and sign-up. Once your team receives your clue sheet, spend the day chasing clues, searching for the VooDoo Ranger and answering some ridiculous riddles all while enjoying a great day of skiing and riding on the slopes of Crystal Mountain.
Noon - 5pm: DJ Dance Party, BBQ & Seafood Boil
Dancing, bead contest, face painting, Glitter Tattoos and more! Purchase your Mardi Gras necessities at the slopeside Mardi Gras Shop.
• Louisiana Seafood Boil - Made with andouille sausage, crawfish, shrimp, corn and potatoes for $9.95.
• BBQ Chicken Quarters - Served with corn and potatoes for $7.50.
2pm - Stylin' on the Slopes Costume Contest
Strut your creative Mardi Gras purple, gold and green costumes on the slopes! Participants receive beads for creativity and enthusiasm. Meet at the Lodge slopeside tent at 2pm for judging. Top adult male and female will be crowned King/Queen of the Mountain and win a 2017-18 Premier Season Pass!
2 - 5pm: New Belgium Tap Takeover
Enjoy $1 off pints in the Vista Lounge!
3pm - Mardi Gras Open Jam
Open to both Skiers and Snowboarders. Prizes awarded to top 3 in each division. All participants are entered into a drawing to win a 2017-18 Season Pass! Now just $10, includes March on the Mountain Tee and giveaways! Registration available online or day of at the registration tent from Noon -3pm. Event held on Basin Street.
8pm - Midnight: Live Music at the Vista Lounge
Featuring the Feral Cats! Playing a nice mix of early rock and roll, to blues, to folk. From Dylan to Elvis, they'll bring their own scraps of familiar Americana to you.
