Michigan Monster Energy Winter Cup Series

Some of the best freeskiers and snowboarders in the Midwest will be at Crystal Mountain on Saturday, January 5th to kickoff the 2013 Michigan Monster Energy Winter Cup Series. It’s an event that will showcase snowsports at a whole new level.
Competitors will negotiate multiple rails, boxes, and big air-launching hits in Crystal Mountain's Tuck's Terrain Park as they battle for a share of more than $4,000 in cash and prizes.
Crystal Mountain is the first of three stops on the series with events planned for Boyne Highlands and Shanty Creek in February.
The competition begins Saturday night, under the lights, at 6pm. Awards will be handed out after the event, and then competitors and spectators alike can continue the fun at the Monster Energy VIP after party in the Crystal Center.
Registration for participation in the entire series (all three events) is $30 and also includes a wristband to EACH of the VIP after-parties. Individual event registration is $15 plus an additional $5 for the after-party wristband.
Monster Energy Prize Breakdown:
• Each event winner will take home $100 in cash and prizes – six winners per event!
• Each of the six series champions will receive a Monster M-Claw trophy, a Monster snowboard and other prizes totaling more than $500 each.
• Monster Army – Monster Energy’s social media wing – will add additional podium cash for the series to anyone signed up for Monster Army by Dec 31st. $300/$200/$100 additional prize money for 1st/2nd/3rd in each of the six series points after the three events!

The Monster Energy Winter Cup Series is just one of the events bringing great skiing and riding action to Crystal the first weekend in 2013. Crystal is hosting the annual USASA (USA Snowboard Association) Huck Finn slopestyle event on Saturday and a Super Cross race on Sunday. And college racers from around the Midwest will be competing in US Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association races both Saturday and Sunday.
