Make a SPLASH! at the Park at Water's Edge
The Park at Water's Edge is a one-acre, outdoor water playground that provides a splashing good time for kids of all ages looking to frolic in the northern Michigan summer sun. The highlight of this Midwest water park is the 4,200 square-foot pool, which offers a water playground structure sure to keep the giggles rolling for hours. The Park also features a 32-foot climbing wall, a sand play area and an outdoor hot tub.
The Water Playground
The fun flourishes around the extensive water playground structure, located in the shallower end. Packed with bubbling and spouting water features, kids think they've died and gone to water heaven as they splash amidst the spray nozzles, bubbling and arching jets and pull valves of this Northern Michigan water park. The multi-platformed unit also features pipe falls, a tumble pail, cargo nets, and a water cannon. Oh yes, and we can't forget the kid-friendly water slide that curves its way through the structure and empties out into the pool.
Zero Depth
At one end, the pool offers a "zero-depth" entry, meaning that at that end, the water literally starts off at a depth of zero - much like at the beach or lake - and then gradually increases in depth. This is perfect for youngsters not quite ready to tackle deeper waters or for persons who have difficulty with stairs.
Off The Deep End
At the other end of the pool are three, 75-foot competition-length lap lanes (early morning lap swim hours are designated) as well a water volleyball net and basketball hoops.
The Lily Pad Walk
Separating the two ends of the pool is a 23' lily pad walk, where kids of all ages test their balancing skills as they make their way across the floating lily pads, supported by the roping overhead. One false move and it's KERPLOOSH!
Sand in your shoes
And what is summertime without the opportunity to build sand castles or just the mere pleasure of feeling the sand between your toes? The Park at Water's Edge has that covered, too, with the 700 sq.-foot sand play area, complete with a large playground structure, shaded lawn furniture for parents, and, yes, plenty of sand.
Licensed Lifeguards
Licensed lifeguards staff the Park at Water's Edge at all times. These guardians of the water have all been trained specifically in pool and waterpark aquatic safety, and hold national certification.
The Hot Tub
The area also includes a large 15-person hot tub that is open year 'round. There's lots of room for everyone in this tub. (Hours vary depending on the season.)
The Beach House
Playing hard can certainly work up an appetite, not to mention immense thirst. That's why we created the Beach House, which features a wide array of poolside fare - and the oh-so-tempting frozen blender drinks. Sorry, but you may not bring your own food or beverages into the Park at Water's Edge.
