An Old Fashioned 4th at Crystal Mountain


THOMPSONVILLE, MICH – Celebrate Independence Day the old fashioned way at Crystal Mountain’s Old-Fashioned 4th. The celebration begins on June 30th with a bike tour along the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail (9am). Family friendly activities continue all week including a tubing trip, and special Stars & Stripes Campfire Kids and Adventure Camp. And it all leads up to and evening of Fireworks Over the Mountain beginning at dusk on July 3rd.

Also on July third:
Family Golf Scramble (8:30am Shotgun Start): Put together a foursome of family and friends for this terrific 9-hole scramble with lots of contests and prizes.
Family Carnival (5-9pm): Enjoy an old-fashioned carnival on the mountain complete with games, prizes, a bike parade, and more - all held slopeside.
Fun on the Mountain (All Day): The Crystal Coaster, Michigan’s only alpine slide, disc golf, paintball, Michigan Legacy Art Park, and downhill mountain bike trails are just steps away from the Old Fashioned 4th of July festivities.
Fireworks over Crystal Mountain (Dusk): Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and find the best spot at the base of the slopes for a brilliant fireworks display over the mountain beginning at dusk.

The celebrating continues through the weekend with the 4th of July 4K, tubing, biking, golfing, family campfires, and much more.
