Cincinnati Resident Sinks Hole-in-One
THOMPSONVILLE, MICH – On an otherwise quiet day in northern Michigan, Carl Goertemoeller selected his Calloway Fusion 5 –iron and looked at the pin. He was on the 17th hole of the Mountain Ridge golf course at Crystal Mountain and what happened next is something that has eluded Carl for 40 years. But now, on this day, that was about to change.
He hit the ball – it felt good, it looked good… and it went in. From 155 yards out, Carl Goertemoeller sunk a hole-in-one. It was his first. Mark Odekirk was there to congratulate Carl – along with Jack McKinney. Now, the will be introduced forevermore as, “Carl Goertemoeller. He got a hole-in-one at Crystal Mountain.”
