Crystal Mountain enjoying an award-winning winter

Conde Nast Traveler, Spa Magazine and TheKnot.com recognize Crystal among premier resorts nationwide for ski, spa and weddings.

THOMPSONVILLE, MICH – Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa has been honored with a flurry of national recognition this winter from print and online sources including Conde Nast Traveler, Spa Magazine and TheKnot.com.

Conde Nast Traveler’s 50 Best Places to Ski & Stay in North America
The readers of Conde Nast Traveler for the first time ranked Crystal Mountain among the best places on the continent to hit the slopes. One of the most trusted and respected sources in travel; Conde Nast Traveler abides by the simple principle: “Truth in Travel.” Conde Nast readers rated destinations through a secure website using a five-point scale on a variety of criteria including rooms, service, dining/food, location, overall design and activities/facilities.

Best Hotel/Resort Spa: Midwest, Best Affordable Spa, Spa Magazine
Each year since opening in 2009, Crystal Spa has been honored with a Silver Sage Readers Choice Award from Spa Magazine. This year the Midwest’s only LEED-certified spa has been named to the list of five Best Affordable Spas in the United States and again as one of the five Best Hotel/Resort Spas: Midwest.

TheKnot.com Best of Weddings 2012
Breathtaking ceremonies atop the mountain and beautiful reception areas both indoors and out are just a couple of the reasons Crystal Mountain earned Best of Weddings honors from the TheKnot.com. The Knot Wedding Network captured detailed feedback from more than 1.8 million bridal members through WeddingChannel.com reviews in 29 different categories of wedding businesses. Approximately 6,800 local vendors received this prestigious award, representing the top 4 percent of local vendors on The Knot Wedding Network.

Established in 1956, Crystal Mountain is a family-owned, four-season resort that in addition to these most recent honors has been recognized as one of Parents Magazine’s Ten Best Snow Resorts for Families (2009), Top 25 Golf Schools in America by Golf Magazine, and named among the inaugural Detroit Free Press 16 Green Leaders in Michigan. Located in northwest lower-Michigan, a short drive from Sleeping Bear Dunes, the resort features downhill and cross-country skiing, Michigan Legacy Art Park, golf, alpine slide, water park, lodging, dining, countless year-round outdoor activities and kids programs, an IACC-approved conference center, weddings, real estate and Crystal Spa.
