Fresh Food Direct from the Farmer
THOMPSONVILLE, MICH – You have an opportunity to buy fresh local food straight from the farmers as Crystal Mountain open its Farmers Market on the Mountain this Friday, June 15. This is the third year for the popular farmers market which is open each Friday afternoon from 3 until 6 o’clock near the Mountain Adventure Zone, at the base of the new Loki Quad chairlift.
The Farmers Market on the Mountain is an opportunity for everyone to experience hand-picked fruits, crisp vegetables, home-made baked goods and more, fresh from the farms and kitchens of northern Michigan. It’s also a chance to get to know the men and women growing and producing that food.
And this summer, Crystal Mountain introduces its Farm To Table Series. Crystal’s kitchen staff will be shopping at the Farmers Market on the Mountain themselves. And during the third weekend of each month, you can expect to find fresh-from-the-farm goodness featured on special menus available at Crystal Mountain’s Thistle Pub & Grille.
