World-Famous Clown Band Coming to Crystal
THOMPSONVILLE, MICH – The Scottville Clown Band has been entertaining audiences for more than 100 years. On Friday, August 10, they’ll be bringing their big shoes, their colorful costumes, and their music to the Kinlochen Plaza at Crystal Mountain.
And they’ll be playing for a good cause: Mrs. Mullen’s Closet.
Dyanne Mullen was a grade school principal in Oceana County. Every year, Mrs. Mullen collected clothing for the kids in her school. She wanted to be sure none of her kids were without clean, warm clothes. She frequently bought these clothes with her own money. Dyanne passed away in 2010, but her generous spirit has since spread to other schools in northern Michigan.
The goal of this fundraiser is to raise $5,000 to help keep kids in Benzie County warm this winter and clothed all year long. It’s a free concert for everyone with a chance for you to win a $1,000 Crystal Mountain gift certificate.
Help make sure kids have clean, warm clothes to wear, and experience this world-famous clown band while you’re at it. The Scottville Clown Band will be performing from 6 until 8 Friday night, in the plaza behind Kinlochen at Crystal Mountain in Thompsonville.
