Winter Fun at Crystal Mountain

Even if you don't ski, there's plenty of fun to be had during the winter at Crystal! Whether exploring scenic terrain on snowshoes, relaxing at Crystal Spa, swimming and soaking in the indoor pool & hot tub, gliding across the skating rink, toning up at the Peak Fitness Center or taking in the sites on a horse-drawn surrey ride, you're sure to find your escape at Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa.

Mountain Fun

Mountain Fun Activities are offered December 12, 2009 through March 28, 2010, weather permitting.

Snowshoe Tours Join the Mountain Adventure staff on a guided snowshoe tour. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through Crystal Mountain's rolling, wooded terrain. No experience necessary. $12 per person. Includes snowshoe rental and one-hour tour. Offered Saturdays at 9 am & 4 pm and Sundays at 9 am. Private tours also available. Advance reservations required. Please call ext. 7000.

Horse-drawn Surrey Rides Be whisked away through our winter wonderland by a team of gentle Belgian horses. Surrey Rides include complimentary hot chocolate and a warming bonfire to conclude the ride. Several rides are offered on Wednesday and Saturday nights beginning at 6pm with extended holiday schedules. $10 per person. Children 8 and under ride free with a paying adult, one child per paying adult. Advance reservations required, stop by the Park at Water's Edge or call ext. 7000. Schedule is subject to change.

NEW! Dog Sledding Bundle up for a taste of real Michigan Fun! Crystal has partnered with Wiggi's Mountainside Huskies to offer a family experience you won’t soon forget! Meet the dogs and hang on for an amazing ride. Sleds are pulled by 4-6 Siberian Huskies along Crystal’s wooded trails. Rides are available on select evenings. 30-minute rides start at $70. Advance reservations required. Call ext. 7000 for details.

NEW! Snowmobile Rentals Crystal is surrounded by miles of amazing northern Michigan snowmobile trails. Snowmobile rentals available complements of Crystal Adventures, located on M-115, just two miles from Crystal Mountain. Advance reservations required. No on-site trails available. Mountain Activities

Ice Skating Enjoy a few whirls on Crystal's ice rink, located on the Inn Lawn, in front of The Lodge. Open daily from 9am-10pm. Skate rentals are available at the Park at Water's Edge on a first-come, first-serve basis. $5 per person. Hockey Hour Hockey fans, practice your skills on ice reserved just for hockey. Hockey hour available daily at 9am and 9pm only. Stick and puck rental available at the Park at Water's Edge. Ice Skating Lessons Private and semi-private lessons give children 8 and under an introduction to the ice. $15 for a 30-minute session, includes rentals. $10 for each additional person. Family Bonfire Finish the evening by sharing stories and roasting marshmallows around the fire circle at the Park at Crystal Glen. Offered daily at 4-10 pm, weather permitting. Wii Game Night Challenge friends and family on this fun interactive video game. FREE to play. Snacks are available for purchase. Held at the Crystal Center Saturday evenings from 8:30-10 pm. NEW! Teen DJ Dance Party No parents allowed at this Teen-only dance party. Join other teen guests in the Crystal Center on the second floor from 8-11pm (select Fridays). Chaperoned by Crystal Staff. Single entry only. $10 per teen. $5 per teen with all-day lift ticket or season pass. Wild Wonders Moonlight Hike Enjoy an evening stroll under the moon and stars.
