Group Ski & Snowboard Lessons

TOTEM PARK LEARNING AREA

Meet up with your instructor at Totem Park, nearly two acres of groomed slope that offers two Wonder Carpet™ surface lifts, and features slope contouring and aids to enhance learning. Wonder Carpets are surface level conveyor belts which gently transport skiers and snowboarders uphill. Enjoy a comfortable ride to the top and find plenty of room to practice and explore in this designated “beginners only” terrain area.

Novice skiers and riders are welcome in Totem Park even when not enrolled in lessons. Totem Park Lift Ticket required. See Ticket and Rental for details.
Skiing and snowboarding are sports you will share with your family and friends for years to come -- and Crystal Mountain is here to make sure you learn these new sports properly. With more certified teaching pros than any other Midwestern ski area, and our Totem Park Learning Area with its two Wonder Carpets, there is no better place to learn than at Crystal.
   
LEARN-TO-TURN - Ages 13+

Ready to try skiing or snowboarding for the first time? This group lesson is designed for first-time skiers and boarders interested in learning the essentials of stopping, gliding and riding a surface lift. Unlike traditional ski schools, our innovative approach to turning ensures this essential one-hour introduction will lead you quickly to parallel and beyond. Up to seven other adults per instructor.
Midweek Season Weekend & Holiday Season
10-11am 9-10am, 11am-12pm, 1-2pm & 3-4pm
Learn-To-Turn Rates Per Person

Add a group lesson to any Lift Ticket & Rental Package for $20. 

THE NEXT TURN - Ages 13+

Following the LEARN-TO-TURN Hour Lesson for beginners, some students are immediately ready for more, others want to practice what they’ve learned at their own pace. Similarly, some skiers will return to the sport after a long hiatus, and want to refresh their basic skills, or have been practicing on their own (or with friends and family), and understand many of the introductory concepts. 


The Next Turn Hour Lesson assumes comfort with our Small Sunkid Carpet, the ability to stop, and to initiate a turn.

10-11am, 12-1pm, 2-3pm & 4-5pm*
*Subject to minimum participation, students may be offered a private lesson upgrade, fee applies.
