Crystal Mountain adds a Brewer's Special Reserve Trail to its Annual Michigan Beer & Brat Festival
THOMPSONVILLE, MI - Crystal Mountain’s Memorial Day Weekend tradition, the Michigan Beer and Brat Festival, renews on May 24 (4-8pm) with a new Brewer’s Special Reserve Trail.
Eight of the 38 Michigan breweries participating this year will be offering special craft beers in limited quantity, released very 30 minutes during the event. Tickets are still available for a VIP reception prior to the the festival (3-4pm) that will feature two of the eight selections from the Brewer’s Special Reserve Trail to include: Bell’s Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout, Beggar’s Private Eyes (Dunkelweizen), Brewery Terra Firma’s Ethel the Frog (Extra Special/Strong Bitter), Brewery Vivant’s Undertaker (Belgian Ale), Founders’ Kentucky Breakfast Stout, Mount Pleasant Brewing Company’s Peach Gruit (Scottish/Ancient Herbed Ale), New Holland’s Black Tulip Belgian Trippel, Short’s Bourbon Asphasia (Bourbon Barrel Aged Ale) and one from Perrin Brewing to be named later.
The Brewer’s Special Reserve Trail represents just a sample of nearly 90 Michigan craft beers to be enjoyed at the base of Crystal Mountain’s slopes on Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. In addition, over 20 specialty brats from eight different northern Michigan markets will be served featuring flavors like Roadhouse Salsa, Chicken-Cherry, Asparagus-White Cheddar and Venison Jalapeño to name a few. Entertainment will be provided by The Cookies (3-5pm) and The Rock Show: The Ultimate Tribute (5-8pm).
Admission to the Michigan Beer & Brat Festival is $20 (includes 5 tokens) when registering online in advance ($25 day of the event). The VIP Package costs $40 (online reservation required) and includes 10 tokens as well as exclusive access to a pair of the Brewer’s Reserve beers (3-4pm).
