What’s open at Crystal Mountain?
June 10, 2020
THOMPSONVILLE, Mich. (June 10, 2020) – As families start to plan summer vacations, Crystal Mountain serves as northern Michigan’s base camp for fun, sun, fresh air and open spaces.
It’s a slightly different time to vacation, so resort activities have opened in phases with safety, sanitation and social distancing guidelines in place. There are markers and queues to show guests how far to stand away from each other, physical barriers in some locations to help keep visitors apart and a strengthened focus on cleaning as part of the resort’s Crystal Clean initiative.
“We’re excited to open for summer and to welcome guests back to the place we all love,” John Melcher, Crystal Mountain chief operating officer, said. “For more than 60 years, Crystal Mountain has been inviting people to explore the outdoors and northwest Michigan, and after diligent work and creative thinking, our team has modified our operations to meet the new demands for outdoor recreation and safe family fun in this time of COVID-19.”
Crystal Mountain’s unique location serves as a gateway to some Pure Michigan vacation favorites off site like Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, fishing charters, water tubing and kayaking on the Platte River to name a few.
But it’s the activities you can do at the 1,500-acre resort that make Crystal Mountain stand out from other vacation destinations. Fresh air, open spaces, outdoor fun, a bevy of resort activities and unparalleled hospitality and guest service set Crystal Mountain apart.
Here’s a list of activities and resort options that are currently open or in the process of opening at Crystal Mountain. Some additional fees may apply for activities and services.
