The winter season approaches and with it eight new trails to ski and snowboard, nine new miles of fat bike trails and an $11 million expansion at the very center of the Crystal Mountain village.

Crystal Mountain appeared eighth on the list that included just one other resort from the Midwest among destinations in locales ranging from Aspen, Colorado to the Berkshires in Massachusetts.

With construction already underway on a new ski complex, the resort finalizes details to break ground on a transformative expansion of the Inn at the Mountain.

Crystal Mountain was named “Innovator of the Year” during the Governor’s Energy Excellence Awards luncheon held earlier today at the Wharton Center in East Lansing, Michigan.
