6+ NEW Reasons to Visit Crystal Mountain This Winter

It's official: The crisp air is back, and our 178 snowmaking machines are ready to go! Here at Crystal Mountain, we're not just waiting for the flakes to fall; we're eager to kick off an exciting season full of major investments and fun new ways to play. We're talking indoor golf, flexible lift passes, and a long-term plan that promises epic upgrades.

Keep reading to find out more about why Crystal Mountain needs to be on your list for winter escapes this year.

1. Ski & Tee: Indoor Golf is Here!

For the first time ever, Crystal is offering indoor golf this winter! We’re installing two high-tech TrackMan Golf Simulators inside Kinlochen (our summer Pro Shop building). This kind of fun is for everyone. Play over 400 virtual courses, take a lesson with our pros, or just order some food and drinks and keep your swing nice and loose for the off-season. It’s the perfect indoor escape for the whole family.

2. Flex Passes: Ski When You Want

Say goodbye to FOMO and rigid schedules. If you know you'll be skiing more than a day but don't want a full Season Pass, you're going to love this. Crystal now offers 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-Day Flex Passes—available for both individuals and families! You can choose a pass with zero blackout dates or a slightly cheaper version with limited blackout dates. Plus, we've refreshed our rental fleet with 600 new Head skis and 50 new Burton snowboards, so be sure to look into the Rental Flex option as well.

3. The Future is Bright (and Slopeside!)

Big changes are coming! You'll see construction underway as we begin the North Village Project, starting with a new Mountain Operations building. This is the first step in our long-term plan to eventually build the First Tracks facility—think new slopeside lodging, retail, and snowsports school all right next to the Loki Quad.

4. Say Hello to Buck, Our New Mascot!

We have a new friend on the mountain! Meet Buck, our adorable new official resort mascot. Named after the original "Buck Hills Ski Area," this white-tailed deer is ready for all your photo ops, especially near the Buck Chairlift! Keep an eye out for him this winter – he loves a good selfie.

5. Mac & Cheese Bar & Igloo Vibes

Fueling up is important! Head to the Clipper Café for the new Mac N’ Cheese Bar where you can build your perfect bowl with different noodles, cheeses, veggies, and proteins.

For après-ski, grab a spot at one of the new slopeside firepits under The Lodge patio lights, or book one of the outdoor igloos at The Thistle for a cozy dining experience in the Rose Garden.

6. More Fun, More Snow, More Experts

We're investing across the board! We've made snowmaking upgrades to give you better early-season coverage. Our Hamlet Hotel rooms and ski lockers have been fully renovated inside and out. Plus, our Cross-Country Center is now the unified hub for all your winter trail adventures, including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and fat tire biking. And finally, we’re thrilled to announce Jayson Spaulding—a total expert and longtime resort leader—as our new Snowsports Director.

We’ll ski you soon!

As always, Crystal Mountain hopes to be open for skiing and riding for Thanksgiving Reconnect Weekend (weather permitting). Meanwhile, keep an eye on our live webcams throughout the resort, check out our lodging specials, and mark your calendar for special events happening throughout the season.
