Conde Nast Traveler names Crystal Mountain among Ten Best Ski Resorts for Families in the U.S. and Canada

January 26, 2017

THOMPSONVILLE, MI - In the midst of its 60th anniversary celebration Crystal Mountain has even more to celebrate after being named among Conde Nast Traveler’s Ten Best Family Ski Resorts in the U.S. and Canada.

Crystal Mountain, located in northwest-lower Michigan - 28 miles southwest of Traverse City, is in good company on a list that includes Deer Valley (Utah), Telluride (Colorado), Stowe (Vermont), Steamboat (Colorado), Sun Valley (Idaho), Jackson Hole (Wyoming) and Whistler (Vancouver). This is the second time in a year Crystal has been recognized by Conde Nast who also ranked the resort #1 in the United States for Family Reunions. Considered among the world’s premier luxury and lifestyle travel resources, Conde Nast Traveler has an audience of 3.3 million readers with more than 4.8 million unique visitors to its website each month, generating monthly page views exceeding 66 million. Conde Nast noted the resort’s family-friendly accommodations and award-winning spa:

“Interesting terrain that's easy to manage keeps everything fun… That goes for parents, too, who dig the luxury cottage homes at the base, the 18,500-square-foot spa at the resort, and nights out at Thistle Pub, known for its local farm-to-fork ingredients (make sure to claim a seat by the fire and order the parmesan crusted truffle fries).”

In addition to this latest endorsement, the resort has twice been named to Parents magazine’s Ten Best Snow Resorts for Families. In December, Liftopia announced Crystal Mountain as the #2 Resort in the U.S. and Canada Overall in its inaugural Best in Snow Awards.
