9:30am-12:30pm, base of Crystal Clipper chairlift
The 13th Annual Founders Peak2Peak Mountain Bike Classic is held in and around the beautiful, gently rolling terrain surrounding Crystal Mountain. The race starts and finishes near the base of the front-side slopes. Riders journey through hardwood and pine forests along rambling two-tracks and flowing single-track on a course that is fast and challenging, but not so difficult that racers new to the sport won't have a great time. 10am-3pm: Enjoy chairlift rides to the top of the mountain. Soak in the panoramic views of three counties while you view the fall colors.
Peaktober Food and Beer
Noon - 6pm: Held in James Bay in the lower level of the Crystal Center. Dine on pork schnitzel burgers, Founders Dirty Bastard brats, vegetarian chili, and lentil soup. Plus we'll have warm German potato salad and homemade chips to pair with your meal! Or if you're just looking for a snack, pick up a Bavarian pretzel, or caramel apple cookies.
Special: Don't miss Founders Kolsch (only available at the Founders taproom), as it makes its journey north for Peaktoberfest. This Southern German style ale from Cologne is fermented at cooler temperatures like a Pilsner or Lager. Crisp and clean, this light bodied brew showcases subtle hop notes at the finish.
