Policies & FAQs
In effort to provide a safe environment for our guests and staff, we ask that you observe the following guidelines:
Guests will be required to wear masks at all times while in the spa and during their service. We are not able to offer facial services until after December 8th.
Guests are asked to arrive 20 – 30 minutes prior to their service. At this time, guests will not be allowed into the spa any earlier than 30-minutes prior to service and will need to check-out within 1 hour of the end of their last service so that we are able to manage the number of people in the facility for social distancing allowances.
At this time, the relaxation lounge and locker rooms are open for guests to use; the hot tub, steam and sauna rooms are closed. Re-opening guidelines do not allow us to have self-serve hospitality available however you are welcome to request water and snacks from our staff during your visit. To ensure that we have the required room for guests to socially distance, nail services do not include Spa Amenity Access and we are not offering Spa Day Passes – you must book a massage or facial service to gain access to the locker rooms and lounge. Spa Guests will be allowed to access the Peak Fitness Center and Indoor Pool based on capacity availability of those areas.
What can I expect to be different when I return to the Spa?
Due to the current health crisis, guests will notice staff use of Personal Protective Equipment and increased frequency of sanitation measures (cleaning of surfaces, credit card machines after use) as well as sanitation information posted in various spa locations. Guests will be asked to wear CDC-approved masks and team members will reinforce social distancing guidelines. Availability of self-serve items that we previously offered may not be available or offered in a prepackaged manner or by request. Guests of Crystal Spa must wear a mask. If you do not have one, we will provide you one.
Do I need to make a reservation for spa services?
We strongly recommend that you schedule Crystal Spa appointments prior to your arrival. Reservations are subject to availability and must be guaranteed with a credit card. Book your appointment by calling 888-968-7686 ext. 7200.
What is spa doing to keep guests safe from germs?
Crystal Spa follows strict guidelines set by the State Board, CDC, OSHA and other state/local agencies. Our team has gone through COVID-19 training including sanitation and infection control procedures to help ensure staff and guests are safe and risk for transmission of germs is low. Additional cleaning and disinfecting check points have been implemented along with daily operation modifications.
Does Social Distancing apply at the spa?
Crystal Spa has implemented protocols for following social distancing regulations. We have reduced the number of services available, rearranged furniture in common areas and require guests to schedule appointments ahead until we are able to accommodate walk-in appointments. We ask guests to also practice social distancing while in the spa environment.
Will I have to complete a health screening?
Guests will be required complete health check questionnaire and temperature check upon arrival. Guests who are symptomatic of COVID-19 are not allowed to enter the spa.
Do I need to fill out a waiver to visit Crystal Spa?
Crystal Spa Guests are required to fill out a Crystal Spa Waiver prior to any spa treatments.
Are linens changed after each massage and facial?
Linens are washed after every guest service and are treated with a commercial-grade detergent in hot water and dried at a high temperature.
How often are pedicure chairs and basins/bowls cleaned?
Pedicure chairs, basins and bowls are properly washed and disinfected after every guest with an EPA- registered disinfectant.
What cleaning agents are used in the treatment rooms, pedicure basin/bowls?
Our disinfectants are hospital-grade, EPA registered disinfectants that are approved and effective against specific bacteria, fungi and viruses. Crystal Spa also has HEPA air purifiers in each treatment room and nail salon; and air scrubber technology has been installed in the ventilation system.
How often and how are metal tools cleaned?
All metal tools that are designed for multiple use are thoroughly washed and disinfected after every guest with an EPA registered disinfectant. Some tools are single use only, therefore they are disposed of following the service or the guest may take them home. All of our metal implements are also sanitized nightly with the use of an Autoclave.
Can I bring my own metal tools?
Our tools are thoroughly washed and disinfected and sanitized following strict guidelines to ensure the safety of our guests, therefore we do not allow guests the use of their own tools.
Am I required to wear a mask?
Guests are required to wear CDC-approved masks.
Why does my service provider need to wear a mask and gloves?
Our staff are required to wear PPE to protect guests and themselves from the risk of transmission of germs. We hope the use of PPE will not detract from your service experience, and we will do our best to provide you with a relaxing and personalized service. Our staff will wear CDC-approved masks and gloves and a face shield during your service.
How often is spa furniture cleaned?
The spa furniture is cleaned throughout the day by our team utilizing appropriate cleaning agents. The staff focuses on high touch areas in the locker rooms, restrooms and other public spaces. Deep cleaning of the Spa is performed nightly of all surfaces including furniture.
Will water and snacks be available?
Yes, water or a custom Naturopathica Tea will be offered after your service. Snacks are available upon request.
Can I buy a gift card online instead of coming to the spa?
Yes! We have gift cards available online that may be shipped or held for pick up at Crystal Spa.
Is curbside pickup available for Crystal Spa purchases?

I need to cancel my appointment. Is there a cancellation fee?
We request that cancellations or appointment reschedules be made at least 24-hours in advance for single services and 48-hours in advance for multiple treatments. Failure to reschedule in advance will result in a 50% charge applied to your credit card. No-show appointments will be charged in full.
In case of illness, the cancellation policy will be waived and services can be rescheduled after 14 days. If you are sick, please do not come to the spa for the safety of others.
Are there age requirements at Crystal Spa?
Massage and Facial Services are available for guests 18 and over. Nail salon services are available for guests ages 9-17.
Are there alcoholic beverages at Crystal Spa or may I bring my own?
At this time alcohol is not available for purchase or allowed into the spa.
Can I use my cell phone at Crystal Spa?
To ensure the privacy of all guests, cell phone use is strictly prohibited in Crystal Spa.
Does the spa offer day lockers?
While we do offer lockers, Crystal Spa is not responsible for damage or loss of your personal belongings. We ask that you please not bring or wear valuables.
What forms of payment can I use at Crystal Spa? Is gratuity included?
We accept all major credit cards, personal checks and traveler's checks. Crystal Mountain houseguests may also charge services to their room and club members to their membership account. For your convenience, an 18% adjustable gratuity and 2% service charge will be added to Crystal Spa services.
