Crystal Mountain Scholarship Invitational

Friday, August 12, 2022 - Saturday, August 13, 2022

The Crystal Mountain Scholarship Invitational raises funds to award annual educational scholarships to Crystal Mountain employees and their dependents.


The format is a four person team. Prizes will be awarded to the team with the lowest score over two days and the two-person Shoot Out winners.

The Pro Shop will assist in filling out teams. You can register as a single, two-person or four-person team.

Event Schedule

Friday, August 12

11:45am: Lunch served at the Plaza at Kinlochen

12:30pm:  Shotgun start on Mountain Ridge

Immediately following at the Practice & Learning Center: Dinner, music, and golf challenges.

Dinner is included with registration cost, or $50 for non-golfers. Please complete registration form.

Saturday, August 13

7-8:15am: Breakfast at Kinlochen

8:30am:  Shotgun start on Betsie Valley

1:30pm: Shoot out snacks at the Kinlochen Plaza following round 

3:00pm: The top ten two-person teams from the combined rounds participate in a six-hole Shoot Out on Betsie Valley Course, spectators welcome! Winners will be crowned champion on the ninth green.

Immediately following: Awards reception and dinner.

Dinner is included with registration cost, or $50 for non-golfers. Please complete registration form.


Additional Activities & Specials for Participants

Watercolor Class: Saturday, August 13 from 11am - 1pm

Join us for a 2 hour watercolor class painting note cards, beginner level. Class will be taught by Lauren Everett Finn.  She is a local artist and instructor at the Oliver Art Center in Frankfort. She will teach watercolor techniques – wet on dry, wet in wet, and glazing. She will have images to trace for those who are not comfortable with drawing.  Visit Lauren’s website at LaurenEverettFinn.com .

Cost: $50 per person. All supplies provided. Also includes a donation to the Crystal Scholarship Fund, eight watercolor note cards with envelopes, and watercolor paint dot cards (66 colors)!

An 18% adjustable gratuity and 2% service charge will be added to all spa services based on the original service price. Advance reservations recommended. Appointments may be subject to availability if reserved after booking deadline. Additional member discounts may apply during this promotion.

The Crystal Scholarship Foundation (501c3) was created to provide scholarship opportunities for Crystal Mountain employees and their dependent children. Scholarships worth up to $5,000 toward a university, college or trade school certification program are awarded annually.

The Crystal Scholarship Foundation searches out candidates through an application and panel interview process who exemplify solid character; strong work ethic; community service and academic proficiency.
