Crystal Mountain Scholarship Invitational

Golf course with sand traps, green grass, and trees under a cloudy sky.

The Crystal Mountain Scholarship Invitational is a two-day event filled with competitive golf, camaraderie, and fantastic meals all while providing scholarship opportunities to Crystal Mountain employees and their dependents.

Our event features two exciting competitions! First up, we have a two-person best ball where teams will show off their skills. The top two-person teams will then advance to our infamous Shoot Out for a thrilling finish!

The second competition is a four-person, two best ball format, perfect for a bit more team strategy. We'll be awarding prizes for the two-person low net, four-person low net, and, of course, our Shoot Out Champions!

Scholarship Recipients

We are proud to announce the 2026 Crystal Mountain Scholarship Invitational Recipients, plus Second Year Awards!

Helen Engbers

At just seventeen, Helen is already a student at McGill University, having fast-tracked her education to graduate high school in only three years. She’s currently tackling a double major in Cultural Studies and Communications while staying busy as a lifeguard and swim instructor. Beyond her studies and work, Helen is a passionate community advocate with her sights set on a future in fashion journalism. Through her volunteer work and competitive programs, she’s developed a leadership style that's all about empathy and the power of a good story.

Aidan Liedeke

A dedicated student-athlete at Kalamazoo College, Aidan balances an Economics major and Religion minor with the rigorous demands of collegiate baseball. After a major injury during his freshman season, he successfully completed a disciplined sixteen-month rehabilitation following Tommy John surgery. Instead of letting the setback define him, he remained a constant presence at practices and games to mentor his teammates. This commitment helped younger players build confidence both on the field and in their academic lives.

Ivy Mills

Ivy is a standout student-athlete and leader with big plans for the future. Currently a dual-enrolled student with a 3.99 GPA, she has already proven she can handle a tough academic load with ease. When she’s not in the classroom, Ivy stays busy as the captain of the varsity volleyball team and the treasurer for the National Honor Society. She’s also deeply committed to her community, dedicating much of her time to mission work and local service projects. Ivy is headed toward a degree in biology or chemistry, with her sights set on a career in dermatology at the University of Michigan.

Kaylyn Masterson

As the Conference Services Manager at Crystal Mountain, she’s used to keeping complex operations running smoothly. Now, she’s bringing that same focus to her next chapter: the nursing program at Northwestern Michigan College. Having already earned a business degree while working full-time, she’s no stranger to balancing a demanding career with a heavy course load. Her move into healthcare is driven by a genuine desire to be a compassionate advocate for patients when they need it most. Looking ahead, she plans to bridge her leadership experience with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing to build a lifelong career dedicated to helping others.

Kylie Sexton

Kylie is graduating as the valedictorian of Mesick High School, a milestone she reached while balancing a job at Crystal Mountain and a heavy course load. By taking dual-enrollment classes through Baker College and Ferris State alongside track and softball, she has built the kind of time management and determination needed for a large campus like the University of Michigan. Kylie plans to study athletic training in Ann Arbor, bringing a strong work ethic and a focus on persistence to her future career in sports medicine.

Second Year Awards

We are also proud to announce our Second Year Award recipients: Grace Kidd, Ben Morris, and Holly Riley-Lampinen. We are so proud to support these three students as they continue their path to success!
