Benzie County woman named 2022 'Year of Spa' recipient

THOMPSONVILLE, Mich. (December 30, 2021) – We all have things we are looking forward to in the New Year; maybe it’s less stress, more relaxation time or just more self-care. Well, one lucky lady in Benzie County will receive all of that and more during her full year of free spa services from Crystal Spa.
“I can’t tell you how excited I am about winning the Year of Spa!” Shelly Florian said. “When I got the call, I was shocked – I never seem to win anything, but I am definitely looking forward to using this gift.”
Florian attended the 2021 Holiday Open House at Crystal Mountain back in November. The annual event draws hundreds of people looking to kick off the holiday shopping season with retail discounts and complimentary services at Crystal Spa, Mountain Market and Mountain Sports. Those who visited each of the locations had a chance to enter their name into the Year of Spa drawing.
“The Holiday Open House is an event spa staff looks forward to all year, as well as the announcement of the Year of Spa winner,” Crystal Spa Supervisor Koreen MacNeil said. “It really makes us all feel special when we can be a part of offering up such a wonderful gift to a wonderful guest such as Shelly.”
The Year of Spa gift includes one free service every month, including a Tranquil Massage, Age Corrective Facial, Nirvana Massage and VitaSkin Facial. Plus, anyone receiving a service at Crystal Spa also has access to the other amenities such as the outdoor hot tub, relaxation lounge and two locker room saunas.
“I’ve been visiting Crystal Spa for years. It is the best around,” Florian said. “Koreen and the rest of the licensed professionals are so knowledgeable about all of the services and products, I’m certain they could help anyone with their needs.”
Crystal Spa is a LEED-certified facility focused on using all-natural products. Gift certificates can be purchased online or in person. Guests are encouraged to book appointments online in advance.
