January is National Safety Month! We'll be celebrating with specials around the resort, fun activities and more.

Select lessons are eligible for Safety Savings!
Adults: Learn to Ski or Learn to Snowboard Group lesson
Kids: Little Bears, Adventure Cubs, Crystal Kids and Nanny McSki group lessons
What are Safety Savings?
Safety Savings are specials around the resort, only available to guests taking a lesson during the month of January! Guests will receive a coupon sheet after the completion of their lesson with the following deals:
- Receive $10 OFF a private ski or snowboard lesson booked online in advance. Valid Monday-Thursday, excluding 1/15/24 and 2/19/24. Not valid with any other discounts. Expires 4/1/2024.
- Enjoy $5 OFF any tuning package. Visit the Tuning Center located in the lower level of the Crystal Center. Not valid with any other discounts. Expires 4/1/2024.
- 10% off helmet purchase, valid in Kinlochen Shop and Mountain Sports on in-stock items only. Not valid with any other discounts. Expires 4/1/2024.
- $60 Demo Deal at the Kinlochen Shop - Participate in a $60 equipment demo at Kinlochen Shop and receive $100 off your purchase of new gear that day. Expires 1/31/2024.

Fun on the Slopes
Patroller Pop Quiz: Our ski patrol will be out on Saturdays and Sundays giving you the opportunity to win free hot chocolate! All you have to do is answer their pop quiz safety questions correctly. Hint: KNOW THE CODE.
Activities
Poster Contest
Kids under the age of 12 are welcome to submit a poster for safety month with a chance to win a Crystal Mountain prize pack at the end of the contest! Pick up your official Safety Month Poster template at the Park at Water's Edge any time during the month of January. Kids who want to enter the poster contest must return their poster to the Park at Water's Edge by January 31, 2024.
Rules
- Participants must create a poster based on one or more of the ten elements of "Your Responsibility Code". See below:
- Always stay in control, and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects.
- People ahead or downhill of you have the right of way. You must avoid them.
- Only stop where you are visible from above and do not restrict traffic.
- Look uphill and avoid others before starting downhill or entering a trail.
- You must prevent runaway equipment.
- Read and obey all signs, warnings and hazard markings.
- Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.
- You must know how to be able to load, ride, and unload lifts safely.
- Do not use lifts or terrain when impaired by alcohol or drugs.
- If you are involved in a collision or incident, share your contact information with each other and a ski employee.
- Posters must be created by an individual child, up to age 12.
- Participants should use pencil, crayon, markers, paint and/or other materials.
- Complete entry from on the back of the official Safety Month Poster from the Park at Water's Edge.
Judging
Winners will be selected in two categories, including best overall safety message, and most creative design in two age groups. Selection will be based on the poster’s connection to safety, visual impact and originality. Age groups are 6 years and under, and 7-12 years. Winners will be showcased online in a social media post during the month of February, and a Crystal Mountain prize pack will be mailed to them.
