There’s always something to look forward to at Crystal Mountain, and this summer is no exception. Our classic itinerary of summer activities is joined by a new lineup of experiences and adventures, which means there is truly something for everyone.
Memorial Day
We’re kicking off summer with a one-of-a-kind Memorial Day Weekend, May 23-25. Find incredible deals on Saturday at our Sidewalk Sales at each of our retail locations and the Ski and Boot Blowout Sale to stock up on gear for next ski season.
After shopping the sales, you can spend the afternoon and evening enjoying live entertainment and delicious, locally sourced food and drinks at the 19th Annual Michigan Beer and Brat Festival, beginning at 3pm. Craft your perfect dinner combo from among 6 brat vendors and 23 Michigan breweries, including non-alcoholic options. Get ready to rock with our live music lineup: Jedi Mind Trip and The RockShow play classic and modern dance-worthy hits sure to get people of all ages grooving.
Summer Activities
The whole family can spend time together all season long with our itinerary of summertime favorites:
- Edge Adventure Course: features exciting obstacles that challenge and reward participants. Reservations required.
- Vertical Edge Climbing Wall: Scale our exciting 32' climbing wall with guidance from certified instructors for all skill levels. Reservations required.
- Outdoor Pool & Water Playground: Enjoy some fun in the sun! Upgrade your poolside experience and rent a cabana!
- Alpine Slide: You control the speed in this action-packed thrill ride with new tunnels, dips, high-bank turns, and spectacular views.
- Crystal Bungee Trampoline: Soar into the sky with our Bungee Trampoline!
- Archery: Try your hand with a bow and arrow! Reservations required.
- Outdoor Laser Tag: The outdoor laser tag arena features obstacles and hidden paths for strategic play. Reservations required.
- Private Outdoor Hot Tub Rental: Schedule a private after-hours 45-minute hot tub session for up to 15 people! Reservations required.
- Happy Hour at the Yurt: Catch a shuttle to the top of the slopes for a relaxing evening of live entertainment around a firepit with a breathtaking sunset.
Mountaintop Dinner
Throughout the summer, we’re hosting our Mountaintop Farm-to-Table Dinner series, a new opportunity to enjoy stunning Northern Michigan scenery and an exquisite meal with new friends. Enjoy a panoramic view during a ride up the Clipper Chairlift to a reception featuring cocktails and an assortment of exquisite appetizers. You’ll take a short stroll to the Yurt for dinner around a traditional communal table featuring specialty wine and fresh, local ingredients.
Michigan Legacy Art Park
If you’re looking to slow down and enjoy Northern Michigan nature and outdoor art, be sure to stop by the Michigan Legacy Art Park. Tai Chi Master Jim Adkins hosts a new weekly meditation class focused on mindful movement, open to all ages and levels. At Fairies and Forts (6/25), enjoy a free family concert, art projects, stories, and traditional flag-raising ceremony. For more outdoor entertainment, check out the Summer Sounds Concerts, an eclectic selection of live music held every week in the forest amphitheater.
Golf

Fourth of July
This Independence Day marks two milestone anniversaries: 250 years of America and 70 years of Crystal Mountain. To celebrate, we’ll have Fireworks and Fun on July 2, with lawn games, live music, and a cookout before an epic fireworks show over the mountain.
Be sure to dress up on July 3 for the annual Bike & Golf Cart Parade, followed by our Backyard Bash. Enjoy a delicious BBQ, carnival games, and a live DJ, plus a new silent disco. The night will wrap up with a campfire and an outdoor movie under the stars.

Local Adventures
The fun doesn’t have to end at Crystal Mountain! Pick a spot along Lake Michigan, less than 25 minutes away, for the ideal beach day.
In Frankfort, explore the historic North Pier Lighthouse, take a short walk downtown for ice cream and souvenirs, and catch an unforgettable sunset 10 minutes north at Point Betsie Lighthouse.
Take the scenic route back to Crystal Mountain and stop by the quaint downtown area of Beulah where you’ll find shops, restaurants, and canoe rentals along the striking blue water of Crystal Lake.
For unmatched hiking and biking along a pristine coastline, be sure to check out the C.S. Mott Nature Preserve at Arcadia Dunes and the Sleeping Bear Dunes Heritage Trailhead.
